Have you ever had a bad experience with a hospital? I have. The one in the middle, in Colorado Springs is the worst hospital of the options here in town. Not only me, but several other people that I know have been treated like absolute trash in that hospital. I was once drug out by hospital security while having an extreme a-fib incident. If you have ever experienced the hospital staff at this hospital, you know what kind of clowns I was dealing with on this day. Due to my skin darkness I was treated as if I was a junkie. They will drug test us dark people and treat us according to the results. Out of fear I screamed at the receptionist for help, feeling as I was having a heart attack.. and she snapped her feelings and told security to remove me, as if she was a mob boss. Luckily I had someone driving who was able to give me a ride to the nearby army base that confirmed I was dealing with a cardiac issue that they immediately sedated me to handle. I was an active duty soldier being treated this way, so I can only imagine what type of horrible treatment the public receives from this hospital staff.
My question has always been a simple one. If you don’t want to help people why are you working at a hospital? These raggedy bitches will let you die in the waiting room because they “think” you are ok. They can’t see you bleeding, so they don’t see the problem, and treat people as if there isn’t one. Right now, with all of the federal cuts, who knows what quality of care we will receive over the next few years. Please contact your hospitals Patient Advocate and complain about these raggedy ass healthcare workers when you deal with them. Feel free to give compliments to the staff who treated you good, but you must complain about the ones who treated you bad. If enough people complain they will fire the individual, but most people only complain to the immediate staff or co-workers, and the person who should make the difference never finds out about the issue. When you complain to co-workers, you are complaining to friends. If someone sent a complaint to one of your friends, how much difference would it make? Your friend might talk to you about it, but definitely wont fire you over it. This leads to continued complaints over the same actions, because you are still in the same spot, as the same person.
What we all need to do, is always complain to a higher authority. Always. ALWAYS!!.
Complaining to a higher authority will allow you to get much needed feedback not only to the supervising staff, but also to the hiring manager, who can implement training to new staff. Training the new staff to handle patients with more care will eliminate this issue in the future staff who replaces the staff who will get fired as a result of truthful complaints. If you are a manager, and a person complains to you, you may fix the problem, and you may not even care. Only you and the complaining patient know about the complaint. When it becomes a topic at weekly or daily meetings, it can no longer be ignored. This is why you have to start complaining to a higher authority. Teach your children to do the same so that their teachers, and eventually their bosses and those around them can expect to be treated fairly one day.
The example of the day is about hospital staff and I have added a video below to help you understand something important. Don’t complain with your emotions, they will make it hard for anyone to hear you. It’s also hard to be the victim, when you sound like the aggressor, so be cool. The other thing is that even this video recommends that you get in touch with a person designed for complaints, and not the people who work around the crappy individual. Stop complaining about people to their friends, so you can get their asses fired, and the friends wont continue to approve of the patients being treated bad. This goes for anyone, in any public setting. Complain about the people who treat you unfairly, so that their bosses-bosses get tired of hearing about them and fire them. They can take that shitty attitude elsewhere, and they can either continue to get fired, or learn to do their job diligently. Someone out there wants that job and will do it right. The end.
