I FEEL LIKE WE ALL HAVE HEARD WORDS FROM PEOPLE THAT WE DIDN’T WANT TO HEAR. Our neighbors and friends have a way of stopping us before the world can laugh. Have you seen the video of the girl who with the wig? The one where the girl thought she looked good and was posting freely and going live and then her family got into the car and they all told her that the wig looked horrible. You could just see her whole little emotions deflate. It was so sad that you had to laugh. Well we all have friends and family members like that. Some of them really are haters, but the ones that you get along with have to be honest to you right?

Allowing a person to give you their truth can be good information. I was talking to my homie D.Booze the other day, and he told me he wanted to send one of his artists’ music to a review to get some good feedback. I told him that he really wanted the opposite. When I send music to people I really wanted a good review on what I can improve and how I can improve it. I don’t want to just hear, “It’s good” or something like, “It’s not my cup of tea”. Give me some feedback that I can use. Tell me why you don’t like it, tell me how I can improve, so that way I can come back later with a song that you do like.
As people we have to take feedback from everyone. This is what can make us a better person, and it also teaches you how to move around certain people and in certain circles. Closed mouths and open ears can do so much more for a person than a bad response. Trust me, sometimes we just have to shut the fuck up. I have had to learn that the hard way, so learn form my mistakes. Please.
Have you ever tried to change someone out of pure love? If you have, and that person was not receptive, take a look in the mirror when people offer you advice. They don’t have to do it. They usually do it because they care. Don’t get offended because someone cares about you, I promise that was not their intention.
