Feeding Negative Attention

What’s up Y’all, I’m back with another one. What do you do with your time? Do you think about how the stuff you watch affects, or desensitizes you? Well, most of us don’t, but most of us don’t think about what matters until we lose it. Let’s not be those people today. I challenge you, if just for a day, to stop watching negative videos on social media, and stop reacting to negative posts.  If you can spend one day a week doing that great, but first lets make it to one full day.  It might be hard, and depending on your algorithm, there might not be anything else in your feed.  That’s cool, we are trying to change that.  Go to the search bar and type in something that you have always wanted to do, no matter what it is. Horseback riding, fishing, making pottery, how to fix a car, where to skydive near me, ANYTHING. As long as it’s something that you actually want to do, we can start to change the algorithm and get your feed to a place of peace.

I think we feed the monsters to much, and it’s becoming a problem. A large apportion of humans love drama, and that means that we can find it in our social media. Social media watches us as much as we watch it. It will tailor our experience to see the things that we look for. So the point of today’s exercise is to look for more thinks that are relevant to the person you want to become.  Look for more wholesome content.  Look for things that can positively affect your day week, or life.  If we keep watching the people who makes this bogus-ass content, we will keep getting them paid, which is why they keep making this crap in the first place.  If we started watching things that mattered, the social media platforms would be forced to give us more content that matters.  Please don’t make it all political.  All of the things you type, I want you to like each video you like. This will start to add those types of videos to your feed.  When you notice the things that you searched today pop up in your feed, like those videos and you will begin to see more.

Today is also a good time to unfollow things that have been hacked, or don’t fill the desires you wished they would. Clear those pages and posts away from your eyes, to make sure that what you have is connected to who you are. Old friends that you don’t talk to for personal reasons, can be let go of. No need to say goodbye, just end that friendship on the internet, the same way that you did in real life.  Have you ever thought about the way it affects you to constantly see things or people that you don’t want to see? It definitely can’t be a good outcome. There is more positivity to come from watching things that help you grow, or watching people who make you happy. Also having people who hate you as friends can give them information that they can use against you.

As simple as this was, it will have an impact on the way that you feel daily. It will make you feel better, and give you more ideas that matter to you. I hope that you found this helpful in some type of way. Go plant something today that will grow green and give you more oxygen.

The following videos are full of other great ideas to help you understand how social media affects us.
